Our Membership Process
We take church membership seriously, because the Bible teaches us that we have a responsibility to one another as we commit to follow Jesus. In Christ we are individual members serving the greater body for the glory of Christ, who is the “head of the church.” Accordingly, we have a process for becoming a member:
- Tell one of our pastors or community group leaders that you desire to become a member
- Attend a “Prospective Members Lunch” with our pastors and their families. This allows you the opportunity to get to know some of the church’s leadership as well as ask any questions you may have. During this time we will present you with documents about our beliefs, what we expect of our members, current opportunities to serve, and you will hear the history of our church.
- If you wish to continue in the process, we will schedule a time to meet with one of our pastors and we can privately discuss your faith in Christ, baptism, and current life situation.
- Presentation of new members at a regularly scheduled member’s meeting (quarterly) with the affirmation of other members present.
